Meet Darryn
A public servant with community roots and a record of getting things done.
Experienced. Connected. Ready to Lead.
I’m running because Los Angeles needs leadership that understands the community, knows how systems work, and is ready to deliver results.
My career has been rooted in public service and community leadership. I’ve worked at the intersection of government, advocacy, and community engagement, helping connect people to resources, opportunity, and institutions that too often feel out of reach. That work has taught me how policy affects real lives and how important it is to have leaders who know how to turn ideas into action.
I’m running for the Los Angeles Community College Board because I believe community colleges are one of the clearest pathways to good jobs, economic mobility, and real opportunity. In a city that has become too expensive for too many people, our colleges must be prepared to connect students and working families to the skills, training, and support they need to move forward. That includes taking seriously the need for affordable housing so students can stay enrolled, succeed, and build stable futures.
I’m deeply connected to the communities I hope to serve, and I understand that education is tied to bigger questions about affordability, stability, and opportunity. I’m ready to bring experience, strong community roots, and a record of getting things done to help our community colleges meet this moment and prepare Los Angeles for the future.
